Kyle Abbott only wants one thing: to be with his father, Jack, who also wants one thing: to be the father to the son that he has never really known.
Jack Abbott goes to Diane (ex Carly Tenney, yeah Parker Munson’s mom on ATWT) wanting to see their son, Kyle only Diane yells Jack that he had his chance to be with Kyle and he blew it! She is moving to New York with him thanks to what Phyllis has done to her on the internet!
Diane told Kyle that she was going to New York for a job interview she just had to have and was leaving him at their hotel with a sitter. Kyle asked why couldn’t he stay with his father Jack at the Abbott mansion but Diane told Kyle no! and had the sitter waiting for him.
After Diane left her not-very-happy son, he found something stunning on the internet about his mom.
Immediately, he coerced the baby sitter just soon as she turned her back and ditched her.
The boy took off on his own headed toward the Abbott mansion.
Soon arrived at the front door of the Abbott home destined to be with his father. Only he found Jack there with his former flame, Phyllis. The boy made no secret about disliking her and told Jack that he had ditched the baby sitter while his mom went to New York needing to leave town because of what Phyllis wrote about his mom blasting Diane on the internet.
Phyllis verbally scolded the boy saying kids should not surfing around the internet so freely to read such things. Jack interceded toning Phyllis down, who then asked the boy if he wanted dinner. Kyle sat there ignoring her question in silence. Phyllis left the room.
Kyle expressed his concern over all the things Phyllis said about his mom on the internet while Jack told the boy not to believe everything someone says about someone else and thanked Kyle for coming to his father on the matter telling the boy he felt lucky that he had a son who trusted him enough to come to him the way he did when he had a problem.
Jack told Kyle that he had a bedroom up the stairs completely ready for him to stay in and that his son would not be staying with a baby sitter alone in a hotel. Excited, Kyle went up the stairs to see his new room inside the Abbott mansion.
Meanwhile, Jack called Diane up asking her why she left him with a baby sitter and accused her of trying to set a wedge between him and his son stressing how important it was that the boy get to know his father. Diane immediately realized she was wrong and apologized saying it would not happen again. Jack told Diane that their son was staying with him for the night and not alone at the hotel with a sitter.
Later, Kyle came down the stairs with Summer, Phyllis’s daughter where they were all four suppose to watch a movie together. Only Kyle was not happy that Phyllis would be with them. Phyllis immediately caught on to how the boy felt about her and decided to take Summer and leave to watch the movie at their place. This allowed Jack to spend some quality father and son bonding time with Kyle.
Bottom line: Even though Kyle is very young, like both his mother and father, he isn’t beneath doing whatever he has to do in order to get what he wants.
At the airport, Kyle’s mom runs into Jack’s worst enemy, Victor Newman, who offers to take her to New York on his private jet … foretelling that life is about to become a bumpy ride for Kyle Abbott, once Diane and Victor hook back up.

Kyle scolded Jack: “Well, what are you going to explain with what you were doing with someone like Phyllis?”
